Where children connect with the world through books, nature, meaningful work, and everyday life.

The Heart of Peapod Place

Childhood is shaped by the ordinary moments we choose to notice.

Children don’t become kind, curious, and capable overnight. They become those people through thousands of ordinary moments — stories, conversations, mud-covered shoes, disagreements, discoveries, helping one another, and opportunities to notice the world around them.

That’s where we begin.

Our Programs

At Peapod Place we offer intentional small-group learning experiences that meet children where they are and help them grow academically, socially, and in real-world scenarios.

School Year Program

2026 - 2027

A thoughtfully structured environment for ages 5-10 where academics, nature study, books, and life skills are woven into each day.

Grow With Us

One of the unique aspects of Peapod Place is that our program grows alongside the children who are already here.

For the 2026–2027 school year, we are welcoming children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Beginning the following year, the program will shift upward to serve 1st through 5th grade, then 2nd through 6th grade, and so on.

This allows children to continue learning within the same close-knit community year after year while our curriculum naturally grows in depth and complexity alongside them. Rather than restarting with a new group of young learners each year, we're intentionally building a program where children can put down roots, form lasting friendships, and continue growing together.

Finding the Right Fit

Peapod Place is a secular, small-group educational program in Canterbury, NH, serving children in kindergarten through fourth grade.

The families who feel most at home here aren’t simply looking for a different curriculum — they’re looking for a different experience of childhood. They value days filled with rich stories, time outdoors, meaningful work, thoughtful conversation, and the freedom to linger over the moments that matter. If you’re looking for a place where education is measured not only by what children know, but by who they’re becoming, you may have found the right fit.
